Vintaj has a new line of brass and Arte Metal charms exclusive to Hobby Lobby. They are so cool. If you don't have a Hobby Lobby nearby, you can shop online. Here is a photo of some of the ones I'll be designing with this winter:
And here are some that Vintaj sent for a giveaway for one lucky winner!
To enter leave me a comment telling me what is your favorite symbol for charms or pendants? For me, it's a tie between birds and leaves. One random commenter will be picked on December 28th.
Thanks to Vintaj for sending along these new charms and pendants for our giveaway!

I go with leaves too!
Beautiful creations. I love the earrings.
Asking for a favorite symbol for charms or pendants is difficult. I love anything to do with nature -- dragonflies were a favorite early in the year, and now I'm leaning towards leaves.

Right now it's a tie between hearts and keys. I really like Vintaj's new Arte Metal charms.
OMG! I love all the mixed bead charms all together....they make the best unique designs :)
uhhh..favorite charm/symbol?
Ones that tell a story, like the owl, and then the supporting beads to make it more interesting.
Heather, I have been using your disk beads to make some necklaces and earrings (and an ornament) for Christmas gifts. I like the way your art beads add just a splash of color and really finish off the piece nicely.
I would be a tie between hearts and flowers for me.
Some great designs. I love your owl necklace.
I always go for nature designs - birds, animals, leaves...
Christy
I think I love the different shapes of hearts. Go hearts!

I have some of the black charms from Vintaj, love them! I would say leaves are my favorite charms to use.
Hearts, wings, and blanks for stamping words on!!!
I am torn between nature type creatures and Fleur de Lis. I love charms in general, I can never get enough of them all!
I like locks and keys.also anything with art nouveau designs. I really like the black metal. No hobby lobby near me, though. :-(

I love everything vintaj.....been hooked since I found it on facebook. Love everyone's creations that they make with the vintaj brass!!!
Hello Heather
These finding are just awesome!!!
My favorites are insects such as butterflies and dragonflies as well as leaves
They remind me of the tropical forests in the Dominican republic where I am from
Oh, I just came back (empty-handed) from shopping for charms at Michaels. Didn't find what I "needed." My current favorites are both in the animal family (which is odd cuz I'm not really an animal person): dolphins and hummingbirds. I love the symbolism of them both. Thanks! --SallyAnderson
I love the new Arte Metal line by Vintaj! Anything with flowers would be my favorite for charms and pendants!
I really love charms too. I think my favorite are faries and then leaves. Hard to choose.
so hard to choose, I think just now keys.
Oh boy, first I thought leaves and flowers, then I saw somebody say Fleur de lis, love them. Birds are good, hearts!! Please don't make me choose lol!!
I'd have to say leaves first and then keys.
These are all lovely! My favorite symbol to use for a pendant is a circle of any kind.
How cool it would be to win such a great jewelry piece! Add me to the list of contenders!!!
Katie
oops, I forgot to say that I love the hearts!!!! Anything with hearts....
Katie
Beautiful necklace! I'm definately drawn towards birds- especially owls, which is probably why I like your necklace so much. I'm loving the new Vintaj pieces, particularly, you guessed it... the owl!
I love the birds in flight, my sister is going through a terrible divorce from a terrible man & these are great inspiration about her situation...freedom, flying, soaring, singing for no reason...
Well, I like hearts (corny!) and leaves! Thanks for the giveaway!!!
You can shop online for Vintaj at Hobby Lobby if you don't have one nearby: http://shop.hobbylobby.com/search/default.aspx?searchTerm=vintaj
I'm so jealous, I don't live near a Hobby Lobby. I'll check it out online.
My favorite to design with is dragonflies.
Thanks for the chance to win!
Hearts, hearts, hearts. Love them, can't get enough of them.
Love your idea of using up left overs...Hummm my favorite charm, that's a tough one but I'd have to say sealife.
I'm partial to bees
I usually use leaves and hearts/locks... I also like birds, but for some odd reason I have never used one. Those charms are beyond beautiful, and I love that necklace!
Heather, you always do such a nice presentation! Versatile designs, clear directions, and great ways to use your beads! Owls seem to be hot right now (maybe they always were) and I also love the purple disc bead! I never stopped to think about a favorite charm because I reach for dragonflies the most. They sell like a "charm"! Turtles are probably my favorite. But leaves are so easy to work with and in Wisconsin, we have the lush greens and then all the brilliant fall colors, and then we miss them in the winter!
I like Bees, birds, mermaids, fairies, Fleur de lis and keys. I have also fallen in love with Eiffle tower charms but I don't really know why ?????? LOL
Love your designs and Vintaj elements. My favorite charm is leaves. I love how they symbolize the changing of the seasons whether spring or autumn and eternal renewal.
I love the dragonflies and butterflies. They convey freedom, creativity to me.. probably the whole flying thingie!
My favorite charm is the key for it is the most beautyfull symbol of all! The key reminds me of the love I hold for my Beloved's heart and all the hope contained within!
Birds, leaves, dragonflies are my favorites!
I love anything nature. Birds, dragonflies, leaves, flowers. . .and Vintaj has such awesome charms to choose from! :)
thanks for the ideas!
i love round spiral motifs, the nautilus shape and labyrinths best.
Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave today [22 Dec 01:00am GMT]. Thanks, Maria
I would be hard pressed to choose from Hearts and leaves.
I love trees and birds, the Vintaj pieces are beautiful!
Beautiful pieces here. I love the pendant with the multiple charms. As for my favorite symbol in charms, i like to work with stars.
Wow! I love all your metal bead collection, they all look so great and awesome. Vintaj's new leaf charms is so gorgeous and I just can't help my self drop by through it's cute design.
All the charms are wonderful...I like the birds. I did a pair of earrings with the beautiful Angel Wings for a customer and she keeps telling me how much she loves them.
Very nice giveaway...thank you for the chance to win.
Cheers, Pam
This is a fabulous giveaway. My favorite has to be the key. There is something mysterious about a key, unlocking the truth sometimes, unlocking the safely guarded secrets, unlocking fellowship. There is a grand fellowship or bond for those of us who are artisians.
How lucky we all are.
Happy Holidays everyone.
Chris
Love this idea! Birds are my favorite!
These metal pieces are just beautiful! Thanks for the chance to win them. It's very hard to choose my favorite symbol in charms but if I had to choose just one I'd say stars... after all we're all made of stardust!
Those are lovely, I like flowers, birds, hearts and of course my #1 are Mariposas = Butterflies
Mariela
It's so hard to pick, but I'd have to go with leaves. I love them.
PS. Those earrings are beautiful.
I just found your blog via Deryn--hope i'm not too late to say the charms and designs are great
hearts or round / donut shapes are my favorite. love these vintaj charms!

So hard to choose, but leaves win.
I do wish there was a Hobby Lobby here in south Florida. I love these Vintaj elements. The birds especially. I made some cute jewelry for some friends this holiday and included birds. This assortment of awesome Vintaj arte elements would be awesome to add to the next project.
Hard for me to choose too, but I'm always a sucker for flowers. But I don't think there's even one of these that I would love to get! *Ü*
I saw these at Hobby Lobby look even better in person! I love anything foliage especially leaves, The New Sparrow and Daisy are soooo sweet too!
Heather I love love YOUR inspiring woodland designs, You make it fun to see what I can do with all the new line of Vintaj metals. That one little short stubby leave is so sweet and the Blues really highlight well with the black! Can't wait to get back to Hobby Lobby!
I like the nature themed charms. Hard to decide what I like best since I like to mix them up in the same piece. Leaves, flowers, dragonflies, butterflies are my top choices.
Love those earrings! :)
I am traditionally inspires by anything mythical in nature. Fairies, mermaids, etc. Also anything celestial.
Love the earrings! :)

Owls are my totem and I love them but don't use them in my designs :) I just hoard them! ( I got the Vintaj Black one yesterday at my Hobby Lobby!!)
I also love the leaves and keys but the flowers are starting to grow on me, too!
