Look no further. I found just the thing for you. Scott is the shop owner at Pork Chop Show. He creates these little wooden masterpieces and sells them in his Etsy shop. I keep looking at the pictures blown up because they look so darn real. But they're NOT! Which means, they are much lighter in weight than the real thing.
Oh and Scott says he can drill holes in them for you too. Any way you like! Which is also very cool for beaders like us!
Pork Chop Show also sells non-steampunk items.
Why not dress up your designs with these Beautiful Butterflies, below!
Or I was thinking these cool Vintage Needle Pack paper cuts would
make cool jewelry or earring cards!

LOVE those tabs and the typewriter keys. How cool?!
Looks like great stuff! I just checked his shop and he's closing for a while because of an art/exhibit installation he's been awarded. Exciting news but we'll have to wait a bit to get these cool treasures! :)
This is a wonderful shop!
Thank you for sharing!

the keys and gears and stuff are WOOD? that is so cool. in and of itself. I love faux.
Thanks for the links... steampunk is definitely getting more and more popular and it's good to see materials more available.
I don't know how this joint blog works, but I had to nominate it for an award at my own site, I'm always finding great tips and colorful inspiration - http://tamdoll.blogspot.com/2010/01/its-little-things.html
I have this great site bookmarked, but when I went there today it was closed! I hope it re-opens soon!
I like your idea of using the needle pack papers as earring cards!
Great resource. I'm glad to hear that he's gotten a commission to make art, but I can't wait for him to start making these components again. They're killer!
