Bunny Love

I am lucky enough to live in a house with four little furry babies. Rufus, Lily, Florence and Hamish are a constant source of joy to us and they keep us smiling every day! With Easter just around the corner, I thought I would curate a treasury of bunnies...bunny beads, of course. Why not bring a bit of bunny love to your jewellery?

I was kind of surprised to find so few colourful rabbits out there in the land of art beadery. Perhaps I should throw the gauntlet out to bead artists everywhere to come up with some more colourful bunnies for our jewellery creations? I'd love to see some fantasy rabbits is vivid shades! I can see these sweet bunnies paired with a little turquoise or amethyst, or some delicate spring-like pastel shades, hanging out in their own little bejewelled gardens.

I'll leave you with a parting shot of me with {one of the} cutest bunnies of them all - Rufus.

Rebecca is a Scottish jewellery designer and singer, currently living in Manchester, England. You can read more about beads and singing at her blog, songbeads.blogspot.com and see more of her jewellery at songbead.etsy.com.

Darling! My daughter wanted bunnies, but we can barely keep up with the dogs.

Thanks for sharing these sweet bead finds with us.

Oh, you are so cute in that picture Rebecca. And yes, of course so is Rufus.

Bunnies are sweet. I adore the work of The Leverets Nest on Etsy. Look back into the sold items section to see more of her work. I first came across her bags, called Arabella (just like my daughter :-)). And she's from Edingburgh Scotland too!!!!

Thanks for including my bunny book in your treasury! A funny story about that . . . the front cover of that book shows a deer. It only occurred to me very recently that I should flip it over and show the other side, since people might be looking for rabbits for Easter.

You're right about color, too. I've got some ideas brewing . . .

Ah bless! Rufus is definitely the cutest, but I love the bunny bead from Tree Wings Studios too.
