collar

col•lar: anything worn or placed around the neck.

Collars are very interesting pieces of adornment. When I typed "collar" into etsy I experienced a vast array of necklaces that varied in size, style and materials.
Here are some examples of what I found...

My favorite is the second one by Irregular Expressions. It is so unique and colorful. She has many amazing and different pieces in her Etsy Store.

Wow! Beautiful things and such a wide interpretaion of collar. I love TotusMel. I've been looking at her things for a while. My Grannie was a tatter. Who knew tatting could be sooo cool?

What a great showcase! The one by VIRR Couture is my favorite. I love those red daggers with black seed beads - very delicious!

Wow! Thanks so much for showing our collar. It was a collaboration between myself and Patty Lakinsmith, and so much fun to do.
Patty makes such fabulous beads! It's very easy to create around her focals.

Wow, some great ideas and creativity. Yesterday I was at a bead show and bought some spectacular beads. One set perfect for the weeks collar sharing. When I got home I had to do the predictable thing to get it out of my head. This morning I was able to do something a little more over the top. I find the creative process baffling at times, since even this morning what I ended up doing had no relationship to my original idea. Anyone else have this experience?

carolyn,
your collar turned out great! the stones and new design is fantastic!
I have things I have to do just to get them out and created. I may never do it again but I have to get it out of my system.
I'm glad you got the first piece out of the way to create something even more phenomenol.
