Findings Worth Finding: Leather Flowers
The Art Bead Scene is always on the look out for new and unusual findings for your designs. We predict we'll be seeing more leather in jewelry so this finding worth finding is a set of pink leather flowers with center holes from HM Creative Supplies on Etsy (photo courtesy of HM Creative Supplies.).
I have an idea how I'd use them, but what might you do with them?

Gasp--these are gorgeous! I checked out their shop and found a huge problem with their items----I want them all!
These would look beautiful with black vintage beads, and then made into earrings, or sewn onto a black choker.
Thanks for continually bringing us awesome finds!
Oooh! Pretty!
I am not sure on the size, but I think that I would make a layered flower ring with brass and a big glass bead at the top. I would torch some wires (if I actually used a torch ;-) and have those poking out the top as stamens. Very lovely find. Thanks for sharing! Enjoy the day! Erin
I could see using them in bead embroidery. You could sew them to fabric, a bead in the center, and add beading around the outside edge, or make stems or whatnot. Could be lots of fun! They would be nice as they would lay sort of flat and you could work around them with beading.
LOL Alice! That's what I thought too -I want them all! Thanks for commenting!

Hi Carol!
I think these flowers would make a lovely addition to bead embroidery. I love your idea! Such creative types our ABS readers! Thanks for sharing :-)

Riveted onto copper bangles!
Love these! I wold use them layered together as an asymmetric connector. I recently took some of aqua leather flowers off an old belt and am planning on reusing them in jewelry.
I found that it was super easy to drill through the leather using a Screw Down Hole Punch. By creating holes on two of the petals I can now link the flower super easily and have the back layer of my flower connector be creatively covered by more layers!
OK all this talk about it means I need to get off and create. Thanks for sharing!
These are a great find, Cindy!
I can see so many uses for them; I'd love to make a clasp form one of them or rivet them onto a leather strap bracelet.
bead caps for really big beads, of course! That's the first thing I though of, and I thought everyone would say that, lol. I got bead caps on the brain.
