Each Monday the Art Bead Scene features the Designer of the Week. One of our editors picks her favorite from the Monthly Challenge entries. This week's featured designer is Erin Strother.
This is what Art Bead Scene Editor Tari Sasser had to say about this piece:
"I love this necklace. Especially, that the elements of the focal pendant were intentionally placed off center. The splash of red is perfect."

thank you Tari! Its an honor to be featured. I'm so glad you like the off center element--after I did it that way, I wasn't sure about the balance. One of those things where you look at it and say, "maybe I should have just centered this..."

I think it works great but then, I'm a little off center myself. Maybe that's why I like it so much.
Great job Erin!
Good choice Tari! Erin S. is a very talented lady with a great sense of her own style and knowing just how to harmoniously blend all the elements she is working with.
Enjoy the day!

Congratulations Erin! I love your necklace, and just think the off centeredness works great with all the other simmetrical beads along the chain.
Beautiful choice! Congratulations, Erin!!
An absolutely stunning necklace! Erin's design is full of interest and movement ... and such a great respresentation of "Persia"! :-)
I love the soft colors and the pendant. It is challenging to make something that is off center and balanced. Erin pulled it off perfectly!
I really like the soft colors in this, with the red highlights. It is difficult to create off center jewelry that is still balanced. Erin pulled it off perfectly!
