Designer of the Week :: Suburban Girl Studios + SueBeads

If you follow Miss Diana (and I highly recommend that you do!) on her journey with all things beady, you will know that she recently took up bead embroidery after a five year hiatus. The first time she abandoned the projects. This time, she saw the light and completed them! This beautiful focal is one of her own ceramic pendants in a lovely leaf that she embellished with those (evil-to-me) seed beads! I am in awe of people who choose to use them and make such amazing things. The colors are perfect for the inspiration piece. Pairing with this are some beads from Sue Kennedy. Just look at that wee leaf that looks like it is God's paintbrush! Beautiful!

Designer of the Week :: Gingko et Coquelicot + Bead Swede Supplies

Oh, the color! It grabbed me and said hello! The rich, saturated tones of autumn come alive in this bracelet by Karin of Gingko et Coquelicot. The russet, the tangerine, the sage and the gold are all melted together in this bracelet that looks like the sun swirled all these colors together and poured them onto your arm. Perfect for a pop of color during sweater weather!

Designer of the Week :: Klassy Joolz + Mandrel 2 & Elizabeth Creations

I was immediately drawn to the lovely art nouveau silver pendant in this necklace right away that recalls the lounging lovely in the painting. And then the mossy greens and rich russet colors of the glass had me wanting more! This necklace from Pam at KlassyJoolz is a wonderful interpretation of the Mucha inspiration for September and makes me want to reach out and touch it!

Designer of the Week :: Catherine's Dreams + Jangles

The vibrant tones and the circles caught my eye right away. These bright and funky beads from Jangles pick up all the different colors of the Tamayo painting. That little pop of red with the thread and the spacers draw my eye to the top bullseye bead. This is one happy bracelet!

Designer of the Week :: Bay Moon Design & Lea Avroch

We are mixing things up a bit around here on Art Bead Scene. Starting today, I will be responsible for choosing the Designer of the Week from all those posted in the Flickr pool. This will also give me a head start on the monthly blog tour.

Everyone has a distinct point of view and a talent all their own, but I hope that we will continue to get so many great entries that you will make my job really tough! I look forward to sharing our Designers of the Week with you.

As part of the Designer of the Week, I would like to promote the designer as well as the art bead artist. So be sure to supply the name of the artist(s) who made the bead(s) in your design. That way we can check out your creativity as well as the beautiful artistry of the one who inspired you!

This unusual lampwork bead is created on a bobbin by artist Lea Avroch. I love the colors, the texture and the simple way this is put together. The soft grey leather lace brings in the neutral color of the painting and serves to ground the more vibrant tones.

Here is what editor Heather Powers had to say about the design:
"I was immediately drawn to the usual construction of this necklace.  The flow of the design has my eye traveling back and forth over the elements.  The haute couture nature of this necklace immediately makes me think this scene-stealing necklace is borrowing it's inspiration from the peacocks in our inspiration painting.  What a show stopper!"

Reflections
The Art Bead Scene Designer of the Week is BeeTree by m.e.
Here is what editor Erin Siegel had to say about this necklace:
"This piece called "Reflections" is a wonderful translation of the painting this month. All the elements are there from the bare tree branches, to the leaves, and the water. Mary Ellen's necklace is hauntingly beautiful and elegant. It evokes an enchanting feel to it, just like the "Three Worlds" painting." Designer of the Week: Linda Moseley of SCDiva!

Each week the Art Bead Scene features a Designer of the Week. One of our editors picks her favorite from the Monthly Challenge entries.

The Art Bead Scene Designer of the Week is Linda Moseley of SCDiva.

Here is what editor Erin Prais-Hintz had to say about these earrings:
"It has been awhile since we have seen Miss Linda participate in our challenges. So glad that she has been inspired this month! As someone who just dabbles in polymer clay, I am always blown away by what Miss Linda creates. She has a great eye for detail and I am awed at the versatility of polymer clay in her talented hands. There is no way I would think these were clay. I would say they were made from wood! The shape recalls the curved arcs in the challenge art. And the colors are spot on. She made these 'Secrets Kept' earrings from polymer clay, alcohol inks, embossing powders and paint. I think that Schwitters with his found object assemblage aesthetic would approve!"

Thanks for sharing these earrings with us!

Please visit Linda's BLOG and Etsy shop to see her wonderful creations!
