Hello,
As you might of read in my last Studio Saturday post, I am setting up a gallery in my studio. I have the walls and tables ready to go and now it's on to displaying the jewelry and other items. I thought I would pass along a display idea using something I used a lot when I worked in the floral industry.
Sheet Moss....I love this stuff. It's a natural looking green and it's preserved so it will stay that way. The mos is flexible, therefore it can be trimmed or torn to fit any container. If you want to shape it onto something, it can be wet and formed. It doesn't move when it dries.
I used my sheet moss in some trays to display my woodland charms. But what about covering a bust with the moss, wouldn't that be eye catching for your earthy beads?
Have fun!

What a great idea~ I think a bunch of little white bowls with the sheet moss would be perfect for someone who does very earthy, or natural beads. I love the whimsical nature of this. You are brilliant, my dear! Enjoy the day!

Great idea to display your jewelry. Love that it's green!
How clever! It looks really cute with your charms.
So cute! I love seeing beads in "their natural environment" :)
One of our local Etsy girls had a really gorgeous display where she used some mossy, grass stuff, and wooden elements to display her jewelry. I can't think of her business name or link at the moment, but if I can dig it up, I will post it. Off to search....
Ah! Found, her FINALLY! Here is the link to one of her displays on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/sudlowjewelry/sets/72157624559495879/with/4866921616/
Wow, very cool! Your beads look great on the moss.
AHhhhh FUN! It reminds me of a easter egg hunt except in this case it would be a charm hunt.
This is really a great idea!
Moss is an awesome way to display mushroom and other 'forest-y' beads! Heather's little Squirrel and Bird beads would look great it too. Thanks for sharing your creative idea!
Great idea, Jennifer! Creativity at its best!
Jennifer, I've been trying to come up with a way to reinvent my display for Spring. You've just given me a starting poing! Thanks for the great ideas!!
Glad everyone likes the moss. I'm cooking up some other display ideas as we speak...I will post them soon.
