I have a very talented friend who makes the most beautiful knitted creations. For the past two years, we have done a Great Christmas Craft Swap - we swap lists in early Autumn, saying what presents we'd like making, and then a few days before Christmas we meet up and swap goody bags. I wanted to find a way to further prettify my packaging, labelling the jewellery but leaving it so it can be opened fairly easily, so that Polly could check out everything I had made for her friends and family. I thought that today I would share with you the sweet and simple way I did this. I think these would look just lovely under any Christmas tree!
Gather these supplies:
Jewellery Boxes
String
Card Stock, punched or cut into tags
Rubber Stamp
Ink Pad
Punch a hole in the corner of one of your cards/tags. Stamp an emblem of your choice in the opposite corner.
Cut a piece of string, and tie in a knot around your jewellery box. Slide on the tag.
Tie the string in a bow to secure the tag. Double knot to make extra secure.
And there you have it, pretty, simple but effective! You could use co-ordinating card stock like I have, or use something contrasting. If you are giving something to a fellow jewellery maker, you could even use some silk cord or ribbon instead of string. The possibilities are endless.....have fun!

A little late for me this year, but next year, I'm kicking it up a notch! Thank you for this simple, but elegant idea!
This is making me want to redo all my gifts! So lovely!
wow very nice looking ! Love the idea of the simple stamp on the tag Thank You! But string & cats are a big no no.. That sadly has kept us from doing fancy ribbons, bows anything like that :( Love the idea though
Very pretty! Love the idea of a simple stamp on the tag.. but string & kitties are a big no-no in our house as I'm sure in many others too.. That has limited any fancy decorating with bows, ribbons, garland etc. They eat it than bad $$ things happen :( Love this idea tho, you have 'sparked' an idea for me :) Thanks & Happy New Year!!
Wow this is gorgeous packaging! I am always so impressed by lovely packaging and amazing art! Gorgeous! xo Genea
