Silk Ribbon

On the Bead Cruise we loved shopping with Bello Modo.  It's so much fun to see things in person and  discover things I would have never seen online!  Among all the treasures that they brought was a box filled with the most luscious collection of hand-dyed silk ribbons

They feel so soft and the colors are unbelievable!

Use them to hold a pendant or as accents where a little texture is needed in a design.

Beautiful, suptious colors! I want to use ribbon in my jewelry but worry about getting them attached properly.

I love the 'hope' pendant!

The color on these is so lush and saturated. I thought that first pic was a rose blooming before I saw it up close! Thanks for the recommendation. I will check that out! Enjoy the day! Erin

Attached to a piece of jewelry, as an accent Alice? I would tie it on and add a tiny drop of glue on the underside to hold it in place. But I've used ribbon without any glue and it never goes anywhere.

Thanks Erin, the first photo was a completely random! I had no idea it looked like a flower until I downloaded it to me computer. Yeah for happy accidents!

I love their hand dyed silk ribbon. I have been buying it for years. I even wrote a review on it on their website. Recently I just added some of the ribbon to my ink heart charms for earrings. I also use a lot of it in my altered paper art

Sounds like you all a great time on your cruise Heather! Boy could I use a vacation on the high seas with nothing to think about besides making beads and jewelry. Sounds dreamy!

The ribbon is gorgeous! Just the right accent for handmade jewelry. Gives the piece that extra artistic flair.

I have to throw a mention out here for JamnGlass (on etsy as JamnGlass) silk ribbons...it's funny that you wrote this article just as I was discovering these gorgeous watercolor ribbons through the Bead Soup Party...they're pricey, but they've got finished edges and amazing colors!!!

I like to use silk ribbon to add texture to my necklace designs. These saturated colors are gorgeous. I like the egg combined with the hope tag - like the birth of hope! Great design.
