Bead Wishes from Humblebeads

Today is my birthday so wishes are allowed and sometimes granted!

Here are my current beady wishes for the following year:

1. I'd like to learn to electroform treasures from nature.

2. I want to figure out fold forming leaves.

3. I'd like to have a mid-winter bead retreat next February in New Orleans.

4. I'd like to travel to more awesome beads stores for events, like the super retreat Andrew and I are hosting at Allegory Gallery in September.

5. I'd like to work on a new line of jewelry inspired by my upcoming book.

I'm giving away two gifts today!

1. Leave a comment sharing a beady wish that you have and I will draw one random winner on Saturday for a $42 Humblebeads Gift Certificate. (No, that's not a ranom number!)

2. Use code BDAY20 for 20% off your order today and tomorrow at Humblebeads.com

Looking forward to hearing your beady wishes!

My wish is to take all these amazing beads from so many talented artists and open my Etsy shop with one of a kind jewelry and mixed media art!! Hopefully before 2016!

My beady wish is to attend a bead show one day, where I can meet all the wonderful artisans and jewelry makers I admire, hopefully purchase many treasures and perhaps attend a few masterclasses.
There's nothing equivalent to either Greece or France, where I live, so that's one of my biggest beady dreams for a while now.
I wish you a wonderful birthday, good health, love and eternal inspiration!
Best,
Despina

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you accomplish all of your beady wishes.
Both mom and I would love to have a rolling mill to texture the copper and a dapping block to form the copper into rounded discs. Of course there are so many different things I would like to work on but I don't think the comment box is big enough for that.

My best beady wish is for an OCD Bead Fairy to come into my studio while I sleep and organize the chaos, make room for me to work, clean up my messes, and lay out a muffin tin of bead projects for me to work on, inspired by my clean surroundings. Barring that... I would dearly love to spend an entire weekend with my best bead buddy (and birthday sister - you know who you are ;-) just hanging out, beading, shopping, eating and enjoying her company, fellowship and inspiration... with no other agenda or must-dos. Happy birthday to you, Miss Heather! May your next trip around the sun be filled with love and light! Enjoy the day. Erin

Happy Birthday!! Wishing you many blessings in the fulfillment of your goals...(the new book is just beautiful, btw). My beady goals include making more beads and findings from found objects, and including them in mixed media projects. Sounds simple, but I need some new tools. I'd also like to clear my workbench (aka kitchen table) of other projects and get back to jewelry making.

Best birthday wishes to you, Heather. I have learned so much from your postings and I thank you. M,y beading wish is to branch out from bead weaving to wire wrapping.

Happy Birthday Heather!
Since we share our fabulous birthday month, two of my beady wishes tag on to yours. I would LOVE to join you in February in New Orleans for a mid-winter bead retreat! I refer to your first book for inspiration all the time. I love the way you create and combine elements. As a result, I am anxious to know more about your new book and when it will be published! It is so nice to have a "jewelry" book that isn't just how to string beads. I always appreciate the way you focus on other artists' work in addition to sharing your process. My individual beady wish is to find my own voice as a jewelry artist as I learn to work in polymer clay.
Cheers!
Donna

Happy birthday! Beady wishes? I know there are many I could be sharing here, but I can't get your lovely "wish" pieces out of my mind to think of other wishes. So I guess that must be my wish. Love those! Have a most wonderful birthday!

I think my bead wish would be a bead lover's paradise studio with shelves and nooks and crannies to store things, natural light with a big space to create, and have it happen on MY birthday! 42 wishes to you, and 42 thanks for the wonderful beads you create for us!

All the best to you, have a great day! :) My wish... oh... organisation would definitely on my wish... list...! Bronze castings as well... try out lampwork just for fun... electroforming is also since years on my to-do list... and it goes on and on... ;)

In the end: I just enjoy learning new methods! They may or may not be something for me, but the experience itself is always great!

Happy birthday and hope all your wishes come true! My wish is for a kiln so I can do larges jewelry pieces than with a torch - my kiln broke when moving house 3 years ago and I can't afford to get another... I would also love to have the tool that bends metal so I can make concave shaped cuff bangles.

My beady wish is to be able to order beads daily from all over the world so that I would get a package of beads in the mail every day! My next beady wish is to have enough time to play with all my beads everyday.

Would love to win the lottery. Then I could travel around to different places to learn and share lots of ideas with creative Polymer Clay and beading enthusiasts. Starting with your retreat in New Orleans. (Cafe du Monde here I come. ) Perhaps a trip on a PC cruise or two. Move on to San Diego or some place warm. Find a beading/pc workshop in the Fall out East. Eventually head over to Europe - France, Greece or ????

Happy Birthday Heather, I hope that the sun shines on you and that you are able to take time to chill out for the day, do special things, and get pampered by your family.

My beady wish is a simple one really. I would love to have a friend to create your beads with. I have three of your courses and haven't completed one yet. Shame on me, but I do try. 'Other stuff' gets in the way!! But I will do it. My dream wish would be to have one of each of the beads on the course work. To admire and inspire me, and motivate me. I would also love to see more of your husband's orginal work.
Sincere best wishes to you all..

Your first wish is on my list as well :) As for the 2nd - Fold Forming: it is incredible easy to do it, just check a couple of videos on YouTube; I got an excellent book from the library as well, written by the master of fold forming, Charles Lewton-Brain. Have fun!

Happy, happy birthday!! I certainly hope you were able to do something wonderful and fantastic on your special day and I hope many of your beady wishes come true :)

One of my current beady wishes (which isn't necessarily bead related) is to learn how to use my new-ish soldering iron. I've been wanting to learn how to create with metal for YEARS and I'm SO excited that I'm one step closer ^.^

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!
